Editorial policy

This page explains how the content on this site and in the Thyra app is produced, sourced, graded, and kept up to date.
Who produces this content
Thyra's articles are researched and written by the Thyra editorial team, working directly from the published scientific literature. We are not a medical practice, and our content never replaces the clinicians who treat you.
Peer-reviewed sources only
Every health claim must be supported by peer-reviewed literature or guidance from recognized medical organizations. Each article lists its citations — typically PubMed-indexed studies — in a visible Sources section. We do not cite blogs, social media, or supplement marketing material.
Evidence grading
Every article carries a visible evidence grade so you can see how solid the underlying research is:
- Strong evidence — consistent findings from randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, or established clinical guidelines.
- Moderate evidence — supported by observational studies or a small number of trials; conclusions may still evolve.
- Emerging evidence — early research — mechanistic, animal, or preliminary human studies. We label it as such and avoid firm recommendations.
Review and updates
Articles are reviewed periodically and updated when relevant research or clinical guidelines change. Each article shows the date of its most recent update.
Not medical advice
Thyra content is for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider before changing your medication, diet, or supplements.
